How Can You Join?

To join we need a completed application and membership dues for the first year. Please contact us for more information and a copy of the application.

Who Can Join?

Law Enforcement Exploring is a worksite-based program for young men and women who have completed the eighth grade and are 14 years of age, or are 15 years of age but have not yet reached their 21st birthday

Program Benefits

Local, area, regional, and national conferences, competitions, and academies such as the National Law Enforcement Conference, with over 4,000 participants, all with cooperation from the ATF, FBI, DEA, U.S. Postal Inspection Service, U.S. Customs Service, U.S. Marshals Service, and Secret Service

Literature developed to provide program potential such as drug prevention designed by the DEA and crime prevention by the National Sheriffs' Association and the International Association of Chiefs of Police

Training for adults and youth leadership, including workshops
Certification on ride-along program
Character-development program enhancements
Youth protection guidelines
Yearly review of national safety policies
Over $40,000 in scholarships available
Awards and recognition for leadership
Skill recognition known as proficiency awards

Insurance

Learning for Life provides liability insurance for the participating organization and adults.

Group accident insurance is available.

Support

Local Learning for Life professionals for training, program development, and recruiting of youth and adults

National professional and law enforcement committee composed of agency directors, police chiefs, and sheriffs

Criteria

Color, race, religion, gender, sexual orientation, ethnic background, economic status, and citizenship are not criteria for participation in Learning for Life.
